Grief Therapy
We understand that grief is a deeply personal and often complex experience that can impact every part of your life. Whether you are navigating the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a life transition, or an anticipated loss, our grief therapy services provide a compassionate and supportive space to process your experience at your own pace.

Grounded in neuroscience and an integrative, evidence-based approach, our work draws from The Kübler-Ross model, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based practices, and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support both emotional processing and nervous system regulation. We help clients understand how grief lives in both the mind and body, while building awareness of thought patterns, emotional responses, and behavioral shifts that can occur throughout the grieving process.

There is no “right” way to grieve. Our approach focuses on honoring your unique experience while gently helping you move through waves of sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, or numbness with greater self-compassion and clarity. Through reflective conversation, meaning-making, and skill-building interventions, we support clients in developing coping strategies, processing unresolved emotions, and reconnecting with a sense of purpose.

We also incorporate elements of narrative therapy and family systems work when appropriate, helping clients explore the ongoing relationship with what has been lost and how it fits into their evolving identity and life story.

At SoZo, our goal is not to “move on” from grief, but to help you integrate it in a way that allows for healing, resilience, and continued growth. This creates space for both remembrance and renewed engagement in life.
