Person-Centered Therapy
At SoZo Wellness Institute, Person-Centered Therapy is rooted in the belief that each individual has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding when provided with the right therapeutic environment. Our approach emphasizes authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel deeply seen, heard, and supported.

Grounded in neuroscience and an integrative, evidence-based framework, we blend Person-Centered Therapy with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support both insight and meaningful change. While honoring the client as the expert of their own experience, we gently incorporate skill-building and emotional processing to help increase self-awareness, regulate the nervous system, and shift patterns that may be contributing to distress.

This approach allows clients to explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences at their own pace, while developing a stronger sense of identity, self-trust, and internal clarity. We also draw from attachment theory and aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support values-based living and deeper emotional connection, to both self and others.

Person-Centered Therapy at SoZo is collaborative and deeply individualized, adapting to each client’s unique needs and goals. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, our goal is to create a therapeutic experience that fosters empowerment, resilience, and lasting personal growth.
